Danwatch
Executive Director
Denmark
Jesper Nymark is the executive director & editor for the Danish investigative media and research-centre Danwatch that over the last ten years has produced award-winning in-depth journalism on global issues.
Danwatch’ journalistic focus ranges from corruption, tax-heavens, investments and shipping, to ITC-, textile and food-production as well as the agro-industry, especially regarding companies, investors and states’ activities, supply chains and impacts on human rights and the environment. The journalistic investigations have prompted political inquiries and hearings both nationally and internationally and has influenced policy changes at some of the biggest multinational companies.

As a journalistic organisation Danwatch works with a collaborative approach, based on the belief that investigative journalism is, increasingly, becoming a collaborative effort – both between local and international medias and journalists, as well as with civil society, tech-innovators and whistle-blowers.
That means that Danwatch today works closely together with both local journalists and major international news organisations in cross-border collaborative and have built up a strong network of investigating journalists, local medias, CSOs and contacts in several countries.

Today Danwatch’ media partners range from The Guardian, Spiegel, Danish Broadcasting to local medias and journalists in hard-to-reach places like Myanmar, Afghanistan and Cambodia, along with international journalistic networks as OCCRP and European Investigative Collaborations.
