Nathalie Ducommun is deputy chief editor at the TV and online news department of the RTS (Swiss national Radio and Television) in Geneva. She studied at Lancaster University in the UK and earned her social and economic sciences degree from the University of Geneva. She started her media career in the press as a political journalist before joining RTS in 2009, as a presenter and producer of the radio show “Forum”. After launching an interactive debate radio show, she became deputy chief editor of the radio newsroom in 2012 and of the TV newsroom in 2014. In 2016, she creates an online news video service for younger audiences, adapted to mobile and social media consumption. The brand “Nouvo” became rapidly successful and is now a national service. “Nouvo” exists in German, Italian, English and even in Romansch. Nathalie’s experience and main interests focus on media innovation, narratives and audience’s behavior. She is currently working on a new formula of the main TV news show “19h30”, starting in September.
