Made by journalists for journalists: the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights’ e-Media Toolkit on migration. It is an e-learning tool including concrete examples of media reporting on migration news in France and the United Kingdom, namely of the BBC, The Guardian, Le Monde, AFP, Financial Times, France TV and RFI. In a step-by-step approach, these news examples illustrate the journalist’s dilemma to remain factual while telling human stories. The workshop will present the different news stories reflecting on fundamental rights, relevant EU migration and asylum legislation, and ethical journalism principles.
